Ao Oni is an amazing game the end was so heart breaking because the ao oni only wanted a hug and to turn. Nothing too extreme, but it never hurts to let you know.Original HetaOni © TomoyoshiAo Oni © NopropsHetalia © Hidekazu HimaruyaNOTE: The original HetaOni game does NOT have an ending. This one does, and was 100% created by me. I haven’t played any fan versions besides PianoDream’s years ago so I apologize if anyone’s done something similar to my ending before. I tried my best to be original and to not be influenced by any other thing besides the original game and hetalia as a whole.THIS GAME DOES NOT WORK ON MAC!
Download InstructionsAll you need to do is click on this, download the file and play the game!! You don’t need to download anything else. If by any chance you find any problem, contact me as soon as possible and I will do whatever’s within my reach to help you out.
Unfortunately, this game is not compatible with Mac/Android but there are some programs you can use to make them run in your operational system. Please DO NOT redestribute/reupload this game. If you want to share, send them the link to this post:There will always be someone who won’t read/respect the rules, so by sending them the link to the original post will help me keep things inorder.-To extract the file, you will need WinRAR or 7Zip.1- Extract it to a destination of your choice2- As soon as it's done, open the folder and run game.exe. That's all you need to do! Troubleshooting & Bug reportsI’ve tested it countless times and fixed all bugs I could encounter. If by any chance you find one, contact me about it, go back to your last save and do not repeat the same route (unless it’s to show me what kind of problem you found). Whatever bug you may find, it shouldn’t affect the course of events, so all you need to do is follow the flow of the game. Characters often tell you what you should do, and if you forget, you can always check your items/interact with objects.
Either way, I’ll be always here to help you out so don’t be afraid to send me an ask!! CreditsAll credits can be found inside the game folder, as well as will be shown at the end of the game and briefly mentioned in the introduction please don’t skip it!!I did the best I could to protect all game data. The art I used is 100% original and done by me, and I give you permission to use it for personal, non-commercial purposes as long as you credit me and don’t claim it as yours. There are audio files I had to buy/use with permission, so PLEASE DO NOT RIP OFF THE AUDIO, BY ANY MEANS. I couldn’t find a way to safely encrypt the audio folder, so it’s open to the public. You can find ALL of the songs on youtube, I included the names of the songs/artists in the credits.
If you enjoy the songs, please support the artists by purchasing their music. It’s not expensive, and totally worth it.I hope, from the bottom of my heart, that you enjoy this game as much as I’ve enjoyed working on it.
This is my first game ever, and probably my biggest contribution to the Hetalia fandom. Thank you so much for all your support, and have fun!!). After 10 hours I just finished my first playthrough. What a great experience it was!(Brace yourself for a mighty wall of text)Let me tell you, I've been on the making of a hetagame for like 2 months now and it's become kind of an ambitious project too, so by now I know it's a lot of work.
While I was playing Cookie's Hetaoni there were several times I could only picture you in my head, doing all the mapping, eventing, trying to implement scripts, sound, sprites; drawing the graphics you needed, eventing all the dialogues. And all the testing it must have required geezzz. I just read the info you left in the 'Special Room' and it's just hard to believe you made the game in half a year, it's amazing! My only small complaints about the game would be that there are times when the dialogue goes on for way longer than needed, especially during fights. The second thing would be, that some 'cutscenes' are also too long and immediately followed by a fight, without time to save. So if I lost the fight, I would have to go through the entire cutscene again. And the third and last one, is that some events repeat themselves when they shouldn't.Some objects trigger past dialogues, lock places that are not supposed to be locked anymore, or entire past cutscenes are repeated again.
I don't know if I'm making it sound too bad, because it wasn't that bad, really. I understand that it's a linear game and that we're not supposed to disregard the characters' advice and directions we're given (but I just can't help wandering out of the right path lol). It was fine because if I got stuck from that, I could just reload a past save file. I didn't find any single actual bug or error/crash.The characterization of everyone was awsome!
They retained the personalities we see in canon Hetalia without going too overboard with their quirks, and without villifying anyone or shoehorning ships. I'm very aware you were trying to recreate the original Hetaoni, and this is not a critique or anything, but I would be lying if I said I didn't think things could have gotten a lot more interesting if there had been more personal conflict among the characters. However, the more I think about it, it's refreshing that everyone was so trusting and loving to one another. It was really endearing and not out of character at all, given their horrible situation.
It's like their love purifies the player's soul hahahaIt's also awesome how everyone got their shining moments. Heck, even the 2Ps were really cool. I'm really glad you decided to create your own versions of them, because (as for my own personal taste) I don't like the fanon 2Ps.Have I mentioned your art is great? Well, there's that too.
The art was beautiful. It was detailed, colorful, and intense. Aside from the art intended to be funny. I like how the face sprites changed as the game progressed AND changed back to the old ones when traveling to the past. At first I thought for a moment that Germany and England's faces would look a bit 'funnier' as a reference to the change of face sprite in Tomoyoshi's Hetaoni, where their face sprite looked weird in comparison to the other characters' faces.I found this game around December of last year, I played it up to sometime before finding the matchbox for the fireplace and had to stop because I had other things to do at the time. I only picked it up right now, on my last days of summer vacation.I just did it on a whim, but I could barely stop playing once I opened my savefile and remembered what the hell I was doing at the time. Are you tired of reading my comment yet? I know, I know.I just wanted to thank you for your making this game and sharing it with us all.
It was a great recreation of the original you gave it a pretty satisfying conclusion (at least for the 1P nations). And I don't know if you left the hetalia fandom again, but if not, I give you a belated 'welcome back'I'm looking forward to the sequel. As I said, I don't really like the 2ps, but you made a great job with them, and now I actually care for their fates (especially precious little Igor haha).Ok I'm done now. I hope this this wall of text was enough to convey my praise for you (well deserved praise too). Thank you very much.
The Anniversary Edition to modyfikacja do Oni, opracowana przez AE Team.
Description:
The Anniversary Edition enhances a retail copy of Oni and is the result of years of research, work and discussion in the Oni fan community. The first official release of the Edition was made seven years after Oni's release, hence the original name of the project, 'Seventh Anniversary Edition'. The AE consists of:
A modding framework
that globalizes some game data so that you can mod more freely; it also introduces a package format that makes it easier to distribute mods.
A mod installer
that browses the Oni Mod Depot and allows you to selectively install only the mods that you want.
Core fixes to the game data
installed automatically to correct menu and cutscene glitches.
Patches for the game application
to correct bugs and add some new features, as well as unlock Developer Mode.

used for exporting/importing and intelligently patching game data.
More details on each element can be found in the Directory to the right.
This seventh release of the project is the 'final' iteration in the sense that the project is now de-centralized and self-updating. Instead of making a whole new release of the project every year or so with updated tools, mods and installer, we now push updates to the individual components whenever they are ready.
Requirements
Besides a retail installation of Oni, the Anniversary Edition requires Java (but this is bundled with the AE for Windows), as well as .NET in Windows and Mono on the Mac.
For Windows users: .NET (x86), .NET (x64)
For Mac users: Mono, Java
